A strategic advisory firm working across the full commercial ecosystem—with clear expertise in Indigenous procurement, regional participation, and supplier capability.
Regional Advantage Group exists to bridge the gap between procurement demand and supplier capability. We support corporates and government agencies in building structured visibility of supplier readiness, and we support businesses, including Indigenous and regional enterprises, in developing the capability to participate meaningfully in supply chains.
Our proprietary framework, ICRI™ Powered by Regional Advantage Group, provides the diagnostic rigour, development structure, and measurement capability that distinguishes our advisory from general-purpose consultancy.
Regional Advantage Group was founded from a conviction that the commercial challenges facing organisations—including regional Australia and Indigenous enterprise—require specialist expertise, not the overflow capacity of large generalist firms.
We operate at the intersection of corporate supply chains, government procurement policy, and enterprise development. We work with corporate buyers to build genuine supplier diversity that goes beyond policy compliance. We work with government agencies to design procurement frameworks that create real economic participation rather than tokenistic inclusion.
We work with businesses, including Indigenous and regional enterprises, to build the capability, documentation, and commercial confidence required to compete and win in major procurement markets.
Founder, Regional Advantage Group
Regional Advantage Group was founded by Louise Vangestel to help organisations strengthen commercial capability, improve procurement readiness, and create more effective pathways for businesses to participate in supply chains.
Her work focuses on the intersection of strategic advisory, procurement systems, supplier capability, and practical implementation. Through Regional Advantage Group, Louise works with corporates, government agencies, Indigenous enterprises, and regional businesses seeking to strengthen their participation in procurement and commercial ecosystems.
Louise is also the developer of ICRI™ Powered by Regional Advantage Group, a framework designed to assess supplier readiness, identify capability gaps, and support stronger alignment between procurement requirements and supplier capability.
Louise is also the author of Local Giants: Empowering Family Businesses to Thrive Beyond Borders, a book exploring how regional enterprises build capability, strengthen governance, and participate in larger commercial supply chains.
